Krzysztof Baj received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool. It was a CASE (Collaborative Awards in Science and Engineering) project in which he worked with the AstraZeneca analytical team at the Discovery Centre in Cambridge to deliver a single-shot NMR-based method, using Chemical Shift Imaging and Chemical Gradients, for measuring physicochemical properties of drug-like molecules. Krzysztof is a Basic Science for Society fellow. He is currently working on applying hyperpolarisation techniques to low-field NMR in pursuit of analysing complex mixtures in an accessible and cost-effective way. Krzysztof is also a pharmacist (MPharm from the Medical University of Łódź) and would most likely not say no to a forest trail run.
